Will replace bombers. Here's what we know about the new cruise missile for the Su-57
A squadron of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters received an ultra-long-range cruise missile, writes Military Watch Magazine. (https://militarywatchmagazine.com/article/su57-3500km-stealth-cruise-missile) With a smaller size, it has a comparable range to those products that are used on the Tu-95MS and Tu-160. Thanks to this, the Su-57 can even replace bombers, the article notes.
The new missile is based on the X-101/102 products, which can very accurately hit targets at a distance of up to 3,500 kilometers and evade radar. It was possible to reduce the size of the new ammunition thanks to the ideally modified design of the folding wing and internal layout, as well as the use of a new small-sized bypass turbojet engine.
